Welcome to Community Over Competition, a foundation born out of the shared passion for empowering female fighters and building a supportive community within the combats sports realm. Established in 2023, our foundation embarked on a mission to provide a space where female fighters from various gyms could come together weekly to spar, enabling them to hone their skills authentically and prepare realistically for upcoming challenges.

What began with just six members and three martial arts gyms has blossomed into a vibrant community of over 70 members hailing from over 20 different schools in the DMV area. We are proud to foster an environment where camaraderie thrives, transcending gym boundaries and creating lasting bonds among female fighters.

but our vision extends beyond the training mat. We recognize the importance of equipping all women with the tools to defend themselves and navigate the world with confidence and resilience. That is why we offer free self-defense class to the public, educating women of all backgrounds to reclaim their autonomy and feel empowered in any situation.

Our commitment to community does not end there. We believe in giving back and supporting causes that resonate with our values. from our successful fundraiser in January of 2024 to our upcoming Charity Smoker in support of Destiny Rescue this August, we actively seek opportunities to make a positive impact in the lives of others
